You want to buy a new car but are not sure what it is you want. When you have some free time, you go out to Bay Area Chevy dealers and see what they have on the lot. With their selection you see a few that catch your interest but are not really sure. So, what do you do? Here are a few troubles that you can avoid when buying a car.
Trouble #1 – Buying a car because it looks pretty or has the right color
The only problem is that you bought it for the wrong reasons. If you liked that style 5 years ago but now, not so much. Maybe there were others on the lot that looked better than the one you bought?
Why this is trouble – You have to live with this car for several years and you do not know if it is going to match your lifestyle. So, how do you decide then if the time comes that a different car would be better for you?
Trouble #2 – Wanting a special feature or equipment
There are so many options available when buying a new car. Just because you want a blue tooth stereo in your new car does not mean that the dealer will have it on their lot or if they do, that it will be the kind you want and like for the price being asked for.
What to do about it – There are lots of other options available when buying a new vehicle. If you find one on the lot that has all the features and equipment that you want, then get it.
Trouble #3 – Not knowing what financing is available to help you buy your car
Maybe if you knew what kind of financing was available, then maybe there would have been some options for buying a new car with better financing terms. But you did not ask and now you have a car payment that is higher than the amount of money that you had in mind for your monthly car payment.
